Reigate Wedding Photographer

I'm a discreet, relaxed and candid documentary wedding photographer based in Reigate, Surrey – covering the surrounding areas, London and the South East.

Once you've looked at my photography and you like what you see — please contact me to take things to the next step, which will usually be a chat on the phone or a meeting.

Story

My father gave me my first camera — a Kodak 126 — when I was four and I’ve been passionate about taking pictures ever since. After a two-year general art & design course at Reigate Art College (1989-91), I went on to study photography at the Kent Institute of Art & Design in Rochester, graduating in 1993. At art college, I worked using most film formats including 35mm, 120 roll film and 5×4 formats and I learned to wet process all of my own film and prints. I have a beautiful wife who is an artist and illustrator, three gorgeous daughters and two dogs. I love adventure, variety, the outdoors, art, culture and intellect and I have a fascination for human beings, which helps me do this job well.

Inspiration

As well as shooting weddings in a factual, creative style, I have a massive passion for press and documentary photography, citing war photographer Don McCullin, street photographer Gary Winogrand and organisations such as Magnum Photos and National Geographic as influences and inspiration. My favourite contemporary brand, commercial and editorial photographer is James Bowden and my favourite wedding photographers are Jeff Ascough and Kevin Mullins.
